COURTESY VISIT BY THE LEGAL & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS SECTION, MALAYSIAN INVESTMENT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (MIDA)

The Office of the Legal Adviser received a courtesy visit from the Legal & Government Relations Section, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) during an Engagement Session held on 5 February 2026. The MIDA delegation was led by Mr. Zil Mukhriz Sulong, Head of Legal & Government Relations Section, accompanied by Ms. Nazatul Shima Ab Wahab, Assistant Director, and Ms. Tengku Athirah Tengku Azhar, Assistant Director.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss legal issues relating to entities governed under the Statutory Bodies (Discipline and Surcharge) Act 2000 (Act 605), particularly on disciplinary procedures, drafting of instruments, as well as enhancing the quality of governance in the management of legal matters within statutory bodies.

The session was chaired by Mr. Muhammad Adil Ahmad Tajuddin, Legal Adviser of UPM. Also in attendance were Ms. Nariza Mohd Elias, Senior Legal Officer, Advisory/Administration & Finance Division; Mr. Shamiel Fikri Ishak, Legal Officer, Tort & Professional Malpractice Section; Ms. Nurul Najwa Jalaludin, Legal Officer, Corporate Drafting Section; and Ms. Fatin Syafiqah Muhsin, Legal Officer, Corporate Drafting Section.
